InnerSelf's Weekend Inspiration

March 21-22-23, 2025

This is Marie T. Russell, publisher of InnerSelf.com wishing you a day of self-forgiveness (today and every day).

It is said that we are our own worst enemy. We call ourselves names or "badmouth" ourselves for not living up to our expectations, or the expectations of others. It's time to cut ourselves some slack. We are human after all. And we tend to bite off more than we can chew, and then judge ourselves for nopt attaining our goal. It's time to let go of self-crtiticism.

This weekend pay attention to the times you put yourself down either verbally or in your thoughts. And then forgive yourself for not being perfect. Keep in mind... noboby else is perfect either.

The focus for today (and the weekend) is:

I choose to forgive myself
for everything I haven’t been able to achieve.

Today's message is inspired by Pierre Pradervand, author of the book "The Gentle Art of Spiritual Discernment".

As of today, I’ve decided to start (or continue) with the process of accepting myself totally, as I am, with no ulterior motives whatsoever.

I choose to forgive myself for everything I haven’t been able to achieve, be it dreams or projects, or even a personal “story” I cherished.

I forgive myself totally, aware that somewhere along the line, I was at my highest level of consciousness at every moment, and that I did the best I could with the insights and understanding I had in the past.
